QuickTime is a free multimedia player from Apple Inc. The latest version of QuickTime is version 7.64.17.73 which is much heavier and more functional than the previous ones in the series. Apart from the first programs in the series which were used to view mp4, mov and 3gp files, QuickTime now supports mpeg2 (that is, Quick time is now compatible with .mpg, .mpeg, .vob, .vro, .m2v, .m2a, .m2s). It is also compatible with a variety of audio formats like AIFF, WAV, MOV, MP4 (AAC only), CAF and AAC/ADTS. QuickTime also opens images in jpeg format and other imageformats.
