In my opinion Comix image viewer is a unique linux software. Based on its description, Comix is a GTK image viewer to handle comic books. I have no idea about this comic books mean. But, its a nice and powerful software. You have to try this and install on your linux system. Comix has simple interface but useful and powerful to handle most image format you may have.
Comix is a user-friendly, customizable image viewer. It is specifically designed to handle comic books, but also serves as a generic viewer. It reads images in ZIP, RAR or tar archives (also gzip or bzip2 compressed) as well as plain image files. It is written in Python and uses GTK+ through the PyGTK bindings.
Requirements
This application requires GTK+ version 2.12.x. Other dependencies include:
Comix needs Python 2.4, PyGTK 2.12 and PIL (Python Imaging Library) 1.1.5 or newer to function. To use the library you need pysqlite (which is usually included in the standard library for Python 2.5 and later). You also need either the unrar or the rar program from RARLAB installed if you wish to read RAR (.cbr) archives.
